The New Soap Factory

Author Well, we wouldn’t quite call it a factory, but our new soap manufacturing workshop is well underway. For all of you that were not aware, we will now be making our bath and body products right on site. 342 Adams Avenue is the new home to all of the butters we (my mother) is currently unpacking. As I write, I can hear her yelling out “Babassu, orange, horsetail…” This is just an update to let you all know that by next week, all of our products will be replenished. Also, I’m thinking about new essential oil blends for lotions, and I’ve got a few body butter/scrub concotions floating around in my brain. Can’t wait to see what comes next. Thank you all for the support you’ve shown us in our new amazing location!

Big Plans for World Fair Trade Day
Fair Trade Day will be May 8th this year, and we would like to have you to celebrate with us!
It just so happens that this year the special day lands smack dab after our new move to 342 Adams Ave., in Scranton! In light of this lucky coincidence we will be having our grand re-opening that Saturday as well. You’re invited to come down and investigate all of the new items we carry along with new clothing, shoes, and housewares. Our scrub bar will be up and running again by then as well, so feel free to drop by for needed exfoliation.
We also have special event day happenings going on as well. May’s giveaway will be a chance to win a $50 gift certificate for anything in the store, so you can enter to win. We now sell fair trade coffee, too! We’ll have brewed coffee for you to taste, and soap samples for everyone! If you’re the creative type, enter our contest to design our next soap! The winner will receive 2 pounds of their creation, plus a store gift certificate! Also, we will be giving away a Ten Thousand Villages tote bag with every order over $25.
Don’t forget that Mother’s Day is May 9. We have lots of beautiful items appropriate for any mom, from soap to sterling silver. We can show how much we love our own moms while supporting mothers all over the world!

Had a great first day open yesterday. A big thank you to everyone who popped in to say hello! We love Scranton and all of its friendly inhabitants and their great sense of community! We’ll be open tomorrow 10am-7pm if you’d like to stop by we’re even more organized now.

Good Morning everyone! Just letting you know that there’s a wonderful event happening today at the University of Scranton. Come and check out the Fair Trade Vendor Fair on the Dionne Green. There will be lots of vendors with awesome fair trade items, including The Fanciful Fox. It will be a great day to promote human sustainability and environmental sustainabilty!
